Well, I opened the mail box, and there it was,

Its been worth waiting for...gotta go, and

play, and to think all you beta testers must

be BORED.

Am I the last one to get 9.1.???

Or am I just the happiest.???

Still wating for 9.1! frown.gif

I talked with my dealer 4/3/03.

He has not received the consumers disks yet.The bad thing about this is we need the PRO-E convertor that comes with 9.1 to convert the new PRO-E wildfire part files that we use. So I have been sending them to our dealer to be converted then he sends them back to us as MC9 files.

Not to brag but...... biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Actually I've had mine since they went out to burn the first time. biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

BTW, it's worth the wait. If you don't have it, call your resellers and ask for it.

I am not happy that Meta-Cut keeps horning in though.

I did not want to install it either because my computer here at work is locked down tighter than a gnats @$$ strapped over a bass drum, and to get a program that uses real Open GL stuff running properly, sometimes takes some tweaking so I just didn't want to hassle it right now but the install made the decision for me mad.gifmad.gif

Overall though it's an outstanding package. It looks at G-Code and if you find a gouge, you can "pick" the gouge and it will show you the line of code that produced it. Very cool, but it sometimes takes some tweaking on the Video Card side which I cannot do so that is why I did not want to install it at this time. I would need the MIS guy here while I check things and he is quite busy. 1 guy about 50 PC's, one or two servers... you get the picture...

James,

MCU runs pretty well without hardware acceleration, and installs with OpenGL hardware acceleration turned off by default.

Gary (and James),

MCU is installed to the system with Mastercam, but no Mastercam integration is installed unless you run MCU once and allow us to make the changes. Even then, we tried to be as explicit as possible as to what's being installed, and provide checkboxes to prevent installation of anything you don't want.

And if all else fails, it's easy to disable our Mastercam integration and just have MCU Light on the side.
