Mastercam X8 Public Beta 1

After installing the public beta 8 version and running it my x7 mu2 simulator keeps dropping the part after going through tool process in lathe. I checked the settings with another puter and they match but for some reason the puter with x8 beta shows the whole process with the shaded part all the way to the end then it disappears and only shows the 2 d geo and nothing else. this worked before x8 beta.

Any Ideas would be of great help.

Also the workpiece visibility button is greyed out and not selectable ???

I thought the verify was supose to be faster with 8?

 

I am not really seeing any speed increase at all. In fact..i think the opti paths are even slower.

Codemeter must be installed on the computer for the linking program to run. If you have X7, then you should have codemeter unless you uninstalled it. You can grab the appropriate (32bit, 64bit) code meter download from: https://cnc.mastercam.com/en-us/Support-Downloads-Drivers-and-Applets

 

Once you install codemeter then the linking application should run.

 

If you are using a nethasp, please make sure your copy the linking program to main mastercam install folder (same location as the nethasp.ini).

 

If you are still having problems after any of the above, please email [email protected].

Pushing might be my only option. I installed new drivers but no luck. X7 works fine. Weird thing is the graphics are fine when I'm using backplot (classic version)

I think the biggest improvement would have to be that now, when you select a chain, you can actually see the chain you selected!

 

This is revolutionary. Congrats, Mastercam, for making something that worked in V9 work almost as well again, nearly a decade later.

nVidia Quadro FX1800. I got the drivers from the nVidia website. It's not the best card, but it works fine with X7 and Pro/E.
