  3. Can you post a pic so that we can see what kind of graghic quality your looking at? I know MC verify does have its limitations...and maybe you may have reached it..... There is a thread in here that is recent for surface quality when it was zoomed up.
  4. The filter settings might be to an advantage there....if not you may want to look at your machine settings just in case
  5. nope IM teh DUM DUM !!!!!! lol sorry wouldnt think that you didnt have the box checked so I didnt ask sorry killing myself laughing ...Thanks Tony
  6. You are using Mill Level 1 and Im not sure that the option is available to change it ....are you doing full arcs or half and arc?....Please specify as this may be rectified in your post to output arcs instead of points in 3 axis mode
  7. You might want to take a look at Guhring or Kennametel products...they were able to help us out with a few deep Drills that let us drill .375 holes x 8 inches through in less than 1 and a half minutes ...no pecking required. .878 dia holes in 30 seconds ...3.6 inches deep...578 holes before changing inserts....that is how many are on each tombstone here
  8. I have to say that IGF is faster at the controller than MC if your doing simple parts or what not....complex features are a task and a half ...get your operators to know both so that they can determine which will be better suited for the part involved HTH
  9. You could hard code this into your post so that when it index's it automatically retracts to a save position before hand. HTH
  10. I have run into this before and literally thought it just as that ...a visual....but when cutting I would put my tolerance on my toolpath as tight as I could and never had any problems ....but I must confess that is mighty tiny.
  11. Get more familiar with the Cad side of Mastercam and you may never want to go back to .....UHG! Au.....AUUUU.....dam I cant say it. THAT CAD SYSTEM!!!!! again
  12. What type of cutter? Rpm? ... depth of cut? .....also helps with type and age of machine as runout of over .0002 will kill your cutter faster than you can cut.
  13. Thanks MMT...I was going to suggest that he get ahold of Emec tools cause i forgot what the parameter setting was
  14. I would jump in a heartbeat If Mastercam would dump Winblows as its main platform. This would be better suited in the off topic forum thought
  15. I CANNA HOLD HER TOGETHER MUCH LONGER CAPTAIN....SHE'S GONNA BREAK APART ANY MINUTE NOW!!!!
  16. Welcome back Phil....How did you get away from Camworks...or was it a location change?
  17. edit...Here is a dum question I should have asked....are you on a net hasp or just have one on the puter....with a net hasp there may be a seat that is tieing up the other license . ORRR......... Your sim needs to be updated or your employers do not have the licence to do those types of toolpaths. The install usually has all the features...you just need the license code to unlock them
  18. Have to agree with Millman...Nice to see you are advertising in the forum here though.
  19. I usually try to lock in an axis so that my tool moves up and down the radius of the ball when doing parallel surfaces.
  20. The are still waiting on feed back from me as I have to teach my guys how to use Cycle Def 19 properly ...but everthing is on the up and up for me as well
  21. negative stock for 3D works for me ...I dont do any Orbiting
  22. more info please....does the B axis not move in a rapid rate allready after you have called it in the previous line with the G28?...or have you not stipulated that in that line as of yet? If not insert in there just before your G28 You might want to make sure that your height offset does not get cancelled when you spin around to the other side
  23. I had the same problem last week with mine and thought that it was resolved....unfortunately I had to send it back to Inhouse to fix it as I didnt know what the problem was and had to get them to fix it....what they did I wish I could tell you....Im sure If I scroll through my old post that I might find it ....I will keep and eye on this thread to see if anybody answers in the next half hour then scroll through old and new post
