  1. Congrats Surface, To Tray's health
  2. I didn't get the spam, so I either got lucky or our spam software already took it out anyway.
  3. Happy 55th birthday George and wish you many more.
  4. Farenheit can't last too much longer. James' fingers should be worn down to their second knuckles by now.
  5. Remove the * from *pfcout, just make it pfcout. The pfcout is already forcing output.
  6. With Scott loading up some farenheit quotes on Roll Call, it should be a real race now.
  7. cc You might want to look into taking the beginning course at your mc dealer. It's well worth the cost and the time if your new to mastercam. You'll learn more in 4 1/2 days at the classes than several weeks with the books.
  8. ROFLMAO In light of the past o/t threads we sure needed this one.
  9. quote: I'm tellin' you, the only way to get throgh to these people (Terrorists and their ilk) is through horrifying acts of calculated destruction. It's all they understand and I really don't care what the International Community thinks about what we're going to do. +1 to that! We need to round up about ten of their leaders, put a couple drain holes in their heads and strap them up where saddom's statue uesd to be and let the media have a heyday. As James said that is all they understand and it's about time we put an end to this crap!
  10. Ya but there's some padding going on in farenheit.
  11. I vote roll call. (less time needed to say here.)
  12. Make sure your coolant is PH neutral. Check it with litmus paper. When the coolant is alkaline, it will sort of annodize itself. You can also have the plating people caustic etch (if you don't need o-ring type finishes) or ultrusonic etch the parts before plating. This will remove the water marks and tiny scratches.
  13. quote: we use tialn coated mills at .007 to.012 depth of cut at around 4500 rpm and about 60 inches per minuteGreg, Where did you come with these speeds and feeds? I've been looking for info on this kind of feeding for a while, but can't find anything.
  14. quote: Yeah, act sensitive, thats the ticket. Whatever you do DO NOT admit guilt! You will set husbands back further than Dr. Phil did.Ain't that the truth. It seems like every time we get into an argument I get the " Dr. Phil says ---" routine.
  15. Go to job setup and change the post in there, and then go to the operations manager.
  16. aye! Wait Wait, Nay! What was I voting for again?
  17. In the NC UTILITIES SUBMENU the code for the menu needs to be changed. Change: code: { "mc", "ncutils ", "&NC Utils Menu",}, to: Change: code: { "mc", "ncutils", "&NC Utils Menu",}, (remove the space from "ncutils". The define tools isn't working either, but I can't see why. Has anyone else had this problem?
  18. quote: the word problems, don't forget to add one with a twist. With an end mill at 1500 rpm and 3" per minute, how long will it take to move 15"? How long will it take at 2500 rpm? Over half our applicants miss this question.
  19. Heavy, Remove mmouse.dll from the directory and with the other c-hooks. It'll run fine from there.
  20. Justin, I'm running the same windows and version as you. I also had (have) a problem with my config. My background is also white. I had to constantly recall up my config file but after a week or so it started to work.? It now works fine for most everything but the viewport. About 1/3 of the time it'll come with two viewports both in iso view. (should be front and iso).
  21. I use the WCS every day on horizontals but I might be using it differently. I copy the top view, set the WCS location, rename it and program from the front plane and other planes rotated about the "Z" axis. Works great and looks like a horizontal too.
  22. quote: This discussion arose because of the insistance of the corporate safety pukes that it MUST have an orientation. This was based on the look of the toolholder and spindle nose and of course their "expert" opinion. Naturally they had to write a Corrective Action Request against our procedures....... The bad part is that I couldn't find any documentation that discussed it. Call your machine tool manufacturer. They should be able to fax (or mail if a fax isn't good enough) you documentation.
  23. My condolences to you and your family. Tim
