  1. paste this line in the userdefined section sextnc eia # Create NC file with .eia extension.
  2. try selecting cplane or tplane then rotate from the menu
  3. Use in computer and it will create the same path without outputting G41/42`s,you can tell it any size cutter you want by selecting a different tool or right clicking on the tool and changing the diameter
  4. What post are you modifying?.....you should get either G98/G99 depending on whether you set the clearance plane or not
  5. You know how far it is to the centerline of the pallet from home?.......use that number as the baseline, whats the difference between that number and say B0`s X0,now add or subtract that number from the pallets centerline and that`ll give ya the X0 for B180,you can always double check with a co axial indicator, there easier to use cause the face stays in place so you wont have to snap your neck trying to read the face, there a little more sturdy too
  6. Corey, when you generate a surface toolpath move the mouse off the graphics area to the side of the screen and the toolpath will generate way faster
  7. You can get them off this site http://www.emastercam.com/patches/v9/
  8. put this line in your post and they`ll come out as ncd`s sextnc ncd #Change file extention
  9. look for spaces : 0 # Spaces between blocks it should be set to 0 by default though
  10. Just set this line to be a 0 under #Rotary Axis Settings rot_on_x : 0 #Default Rotary Axis Orientation #0 = Off, 1 = About X, 2 = About Y, 3 = About Z this will keep from outputting A`s then when you want to use your rotary you can go back in and set it to the axis that it needs to rotate about and it will post your A`s again and there values [ 01-01-2003, 07:53 PM: Message edited by: d0gFartz ]
  11. Goto Main menu, screen, configure, select NC settings tab, toward the lower left click the Operation defaults button, select the defaults.df9 file (should be selected already) then click on save and it will open your ops manager that holds all your defaults, select the job setup button,in the tool offset register area make sure ADD has a dot in it then put 50 in under diameter,Ok out of that then Ok out of the ops manager then save your config file and then ok out of that...i would do a file new form the main menu and you should be adding 50 to the D`s now......Buddy dont forget about having administrative privlages though if your on that new computer so that the changes stay in effect [ 12-28-2002, 07:41 AM: Message edited by: d0gFartz ]
  12. If your using v9 use your WCS and create your horizontals B axis planes relative to your "Systems Top Plane", then reorigin them by selecting a new origin and assign them an offset number,0=G54 and so on,then when you wanna machine on them select the one you want and right click on it and set it your "Tool and Construction Plane"
  13. Using the toolpath/surface/cad file option you can machine an stl
  14. just out of curiousity try putting the m6 on a line by itself......N108 T6 the on the next line N110 M6 and see what it does
  15. change the 1 in this line to a 0 rot_on_x : 1 #Default Rotary Axis search for rot_on_x in your post,should be around line number 177 [ 12-15-2002, 07:37 PM: Message edited by: d0gFartz ]

  18. quote: I understand that he thinks he needs to look at the APT, but skip the APT and look at the NC...ITS the same but better. Not when the manufacturer doesnt set the machine up to run that way and can not even tell you what the nc code should look like if it was set up to read it......theres 2 modes on the control Seimens & ISO,its setup for siemens and thats all the manufacturer understands
  19. Why dont you get your dealer to doll it up for you?,im sure they`d hook you up for a nominal fee....or take a p0ost training class from them if they offer one and then you could doll it up [ 11-25-2002, 07:46 PM: Message edited by: d0gFartz ]
  20. No....it doesnt run code like were used to,its a entire different animal, supposedly siemens doesnt have anyone AE`s in america here that know how to run it either the way the manufacturer has it set up......its an Austrian built deal and they dont have anyone they say that knows g code....they refer to g code as fanuc language... so they built off this siemens language that only they know.....they have there own post that converts an ncl to there language so they can get an ncl from any cam system and be able to post it
  21. He wants to know if theres any other chooks or other options to create an ncl file that gets run thru a post that converts it to siemens language, not standard g code....nci2apt is it as far as i know.......its for a machine thats like 1 of 3 in the world
