Why doesn't he like where it's located. As an end-user don't we only care about the NC file
I would consider trying to alter the format of the NCI file a hoop to jump through no?
We have 1604 bit zero on and the install guys put the g5.1q0 in the settings sub program.
But the ots macro where it spins the tool to touch off isn't working. The guy is coming to look at it but I may try turning the parameter off to see if it makes a difference
For lage production runs I offset a bunch of chains the length I want and chain my way down.
Smaller quantities I break it up in depths and shorten the lead in at the top cahins
I would also try it with a G 91 added to that second G30 line. I think I've seen these things do some weird stuff when it wasn't specified in each line
The other thing can be that the 2nd return position in the machine is set wrong.
Normally g30 can be a pallet change position, tool change position of any position you set into the parameters
Z is probably set to a large negative value
We have a revision number or letter on the folder and files inside it. Setup sheets are scanned and controlled by the quality system manager.
Ive seen a place where everything was in one folder. Hundreds of part numbers
for parts we do with .02mm true position if its not at a0c0 I use a sub without the twp and pick it up with the probe.
the ruby will build up with aluminum after a while. we ordered an m4-m5 adapter so we can use the silicon nitrate probes from the cmm(Renishaw silicon nitrate really expensive )
we had all 5 retroed with the ez5
ours does 3 points at zero, one at 445 and one at 90
we still needed to cut a test part to get it to bore holes inline. for x axis
you could swarf it.
Ive experimented with the the axis substitution it worked, but it was ugly and only for 1 fixture with a generic post I played with
