I'm old, been using the software since about 1992 and would use Coon Surface for this. I had a REALLY good teacher at the local community college when I was learning the software and he made Coons Surface really logical for me. I've NEVER been able to get Net Surface to work... maybe it'll work for you.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the Plug-In. Do you have the installer for it? E-Mail me if you need it. -

I must have dumped my Win2k disks. Oddly I still have a copy of Windows NT 4.0 workstation and Windows NT Server. Found a fresh... never installed Windows XP Pro SP2 CD w/ product key from my MSDN days... send me a DM I'll send you a link if it'll help.

Occasionally we get customers that buy used equipment and they pay us to come train them. A LOT of those machines... the guys that trained people BITD are either dead or retired. A V8 user is probably in their mid-50's at this point. The BEST O/S for that era hands-down is Windows 2000 Pro. You get decent plug and play and the stability of Windows NT. I may still have an installation CD for that. I can check. There's definitely serial numbers for that floating around. I would not trust an OS download from just anywhere. I'll see what I can dig up.

If doing 5-Axis/5-Seded work, you may have to do the stock model in stages to keep the re-positions from violating the part.

If you're on a 3Axis... just use stock model. You can get that down pretty tight.

Not required to have Manual Guide [i]i[/i], there's more steps to transferring the program though. Changing devices, etc...

#14853.4 = 1 - Able to transfer from memory card to Dataserver. (Reboot Req. - DO NOT change on touch panel machine) We do MACRO calls, probing, etc... all from the Dataserver on 31i-B5's with no issues. Should be ok on 30i-A and 31i-A as well. Dicey on a 16i/18i series. I don't get on those much anymore.
