Good. One of the reasons I picked the Haas (I had NO CNC experience, and very little manual machining experience) was that the control seemed well layed out compared to the others I looked at. Also the price/options werre better than anything else I could afford.

Thanks

MACHINEMASTERG,

The MPMaster post will work just dandy with the Haas.

Everything I've done for quite a while has been with a version of the MPMaster that I've added to or customized to get what I want out of it.

You may want to change some things yourself, but the MPMaster is THE place to start. Much better than the Haas post included with MasterCam

A Fadal Fan !?!?!?!?!? You, my man, are rarer than the California condor!

hehe, I guess I'm more of a fan of the MP32 control on the Fadal than the hardware itself. I like having the control on the network, and being able to run any size program since the control has its own hard drive, and is able to dnc from itself.

Plus, the Fadals have box ways on the same priced machines as the comparable Haas machines. Of course if money was no object.....

CHARLES!!! How've you been? I'm still around. (Notice my earlier post was from last year) As you know, I'm working for another company now, not associated with Mastercam. eek.gif (I won't mention what software they're using, but it's initials are GibbsNC)

I think the ONLY thing I really LOVE about Gibbs is the awsome setup sheets they make using excel. But that's a different topic. We've got 29 VMC's, half are HAAS. For the money, it's really nice to be able to interpolate a .064+-.0003 hole with a .0625 EM! (I've been around machining for nearly 20 years and you don't see that very often).

HAAS has made a very big, very affordable impact in the machining industry.
