  1. RCC Norco has MasterCAM classes as well. Give them a call !
  2. They gave me the correct code already, nice work CAD/CAM Consulting.
  3. has anyone seen the free X6 Mastercam Enhancements course on facebook, its supposed to be a free video about the new features of X6 for all maintenance customers. My reseller though gave me a code that brought up the X4 enhancements videos, does anyone have the correct code for X6 ? Maurice is double checking but I would like to kill sometime right now !
  4. How different is this from an SL30 post, I got one and willing to share if you need it. I have made the customizations we needed.
  5. 64bit also makes a big difference in toopath calculation, I saw a tremendous performance increase when I installed X6 x64 and only 4Gigs of RAM.
  6. Works here also, I do always use the controur with comp off; I get to ramp entry.
  7. You might have comment$ AFTER the ptoolcomment postblock, this is how my post looks: psof$... pcan pbld, n$, *t$, sm06, ptoolcomment, e$ #Moved ptoolcomment from line 944 WJ. 07/15/10 comment$<------------------------------------------- I actually want this as it helps force the operator to actually read the comment. pbld, n$, sopen_prn, *stpgrpname, sclose_prn, e$ ... You might want to move it above the prior line like this: psof$... pcan comment$<---here pbld, n$, *t$, sm06, ptoolcomment, e$ #Moved ptoolcomment from line 944 WJ. 07/15/10 pbld, n$, sopen_prn, *stpgrpname, sclose_prn, e$ ... ** At the toolchange block also ptlchg$... comment$<----here pbld, n$, *t$, sm06, ptoolcomment, e$ # Moved ptoolcomment from line 1041 WJ. 07/15/10 Both of these should move the comment above the toolchange line. This is nothing but a guess, I dont know what post you have.
  8. This is the culprit, when ever you resave a file with a new name the original NC Filename stays, only the new operations will have the new NC Filename and posted ooutput correctly. +1 Gcode, since the 1st file was already asked for the NC File the second file will ask you but only apply this to the new toolpaths. +1 JP, select all ops of the new part file, rt click, edit selected ops, change NC File, and Voila !
  9. Are you selling it ? If so how much and how about some pictures !.
  10. I realize this is old, when I tried it there was no option to reduce feed and speed on entry.
  11. Do you guys offer relocation assistance. What kind of work do you do, what machines do you have, how many machines. What's the pay and hours ?
  12. The copy method saves a lot of time, the way I get rid of any renumbering issues is by clicking on the new tool for the copied OP. You already have to go into the parameters to update for the new OP anyway, might aswell click on the tool so that the numbers update; I also have lock feed rates and all my libraries are preconfigured with feeds and speeds so even if clicking messes them up I can right click to reaload the parameters from the library and Voila ! off and running.
  13. How do you become a Beta ?
  14. Off on a tangent here TOM, but what about Binary PostProcessors ? Why do people save them in that format ?
  15. If anyone still needs the material inside the MC9 files, then update the content and reload as an MCX version. Definitely delete the MC9 files.
  16. Do you need to copy the geometry for a second op? Cant you use create a WCS instead ? or Perhaps use the Viewsheets in order to view and create toolpaths from a different view/plane ? Will the stock model still rotate over ?.
  17. I use Guhring and their chart suggests 3600RPM and about 1450mm/min. If you are already running faster then, either you are on the right track or your endmills are going to wear faster. Sounds good that you are able to push this further, what tool are you using.
  18. You have to attach the picture to the post.
  19. Follow this path "C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx5\common\Editors\CIMCOEdit5\CIMCOEdit.exe", off of windows 7, for Xp it's simply program files; you can pin it to the Stat Menu or the Taskbar. From within Mcam You are to select Cimco under the Editor selection box in the Settings/COnfiguration/Start-Exit Menu.
  20. +1 bucktruck Cimco edit is a great editor and easy to configure your machines on, you have to know the bits, stop bit, parity, speed, and I forget what else; in order for it to work. It should be fairly simple !
  21. You have to create a new WCS, there are several options. If you use geometry then the first line you click is the X axis, then in the WCS manager you create the relative views from the new WCS. The new top, front, right, etc., will be in relation to the placement of the part. If you need more help send me a model or a sketch of what you need and I can help you and upload a file for you to look at. This method is used for machining parts in Aircraft Space where the part does not move but you create a WCS on the part and orient Mastercam to the part.
  22. MPMaster or IHS based POST. What machine is this for someone might have the mods specific to your machine already.
  23. +1, Perhaps they want us to pay in order to get a post modified.
