most number of operations you have programmed???

just curious....I finally finished up a part & have 172 different operations, along with 23 different c-planes (a 5 axis part with lots of funny corners to reach to)

 

just wondering what everyone else's record is.

I just finish a 54 operation job. Next one should be about the same. The largest was about 150 +/-?.

I think my personal best is about 180.

One of the other programmers here did a

program for our 5 axis gantry mill that went over 1000. The file is about 700 meg and

takes over 40 minutes to open on a 2.8 Xeon

with 2 gig of memeory

It's a complete mold base including a manifold plate. Normaly we'll break it down to 1 plate at a time to keep the file manageable, but that job wasn't the case.

I like to break my groups into 30 operations per so I don't have to scoll down all the time.

About 370-400, somewhere in there. That's a bit decieving though, that included 6 operations, 5 fixtures/visejaws, etc... all in one single file. The part itself was about 200-225 Ops. Very complex part. Took about 120 hours to program give or take a few.

 

NASTY job. It was a part for a satellite. I believe it's in space now as we "speak".

Wow did I see 1000 ops? Years ago my high was somewhere around 225 to 250. The sad part is it wasn't neccesarily a difficult part, with the tools V9 has it probably could have been cut down to 150 ops or less. This included several setups, a couple of fixtures (simple), and quite a few "dummy" ops for verification purposes.
