It's precisely the ultra-conversative, US-centric, gh3y bashin', "other CAM"-promotin' forum that we'd originally conceived. Just kidding.

 

As a comic in all seriousness, it's much more of a family/community than I assumed it would be. The tech info and support is top notch, but beyond that it's the personalities and friends (and common enemies) that make it fun. The Internet can be a bit dislocated, but here we have members posting pictures of themselves with their kids, swapping recipes, writing poetry, sharing tasting notes on beer, etc. It's awesome and special.

I agree 100% on the uniqueness of this place.

I participate in other CAD forums, political forums and I used to be very involved in a forum for Softaball coaching. The closest sense of community was probably the Softball forum, but it is a distant second.

 

Dave, maybe you should consider opening a Bar ... we could all come for happy hour. Bet that would be an interesting place
