  1. I believe the argument has more to do with the Microsoft UI, most all current Windows programs are running a ribbon based interface
  2. You can move the location of the QA below the ribbon, it's a check box in the customize QA utility or right click in the ribbon and set it to below.
  3. You could define your spot drill as a chamfer tool then use it in that tpath. Mcam doesn't care what's in the description only the initial defined shape.
  4. That's basically what I did as well, cept I didn't get the contact yer reseller warning.
  5. I spoke with someone who felt Mcam V9 was the best version ever and in the same conversation complained that he couldn't open the SWorks files his customer was sending him.
  6. Yeah is router, here you go is mill now. 5th Axis morph Help Lucas.mcam
  7. Depends, do you see the glass 1/2 full or cracked?
  8. That's more like parallel to a curve, morph like surf blend requires from and to geometry.
  9. No need to draw a rectangle you can use a line projected to the drive surface. Morph Curves.mcam
  10. The new drill point selection allows you to set a depth filter in Z, so if you uncheck "Depth Filters" you'll end up selecting duplicates.
  11. 5:33 specs in sig your link in the original post is getting 404ed
  12. Mcam is locked into right hand rule Cartesian coordinates, you can't flip only the X axis 180deg, either the Z or Y are going to move as well.
  13. What multiaxis tpath are you using? What tool axis control strategy? As Ron stated too many variables without an example.
  14. You'd be better of with a standalone hasp key, make certain you don't forget it at home when you go in to to work.
  15. Your home computer doesn't need to be anything special. My wife works on her work computer at home using a laptop she runs dual monitors at work and we have a dual monitor setup at home as well. I'm fairly certain they are using Go to My PC.
  16. You need to switch the machining region strategy, it's probably set to stay inside.
  17. that's just a part file, with out the post I can't output code even if someone were to grab the post file from your Z2G they wouldn't be able to use it due to it being keyed to your hasp key from the looks of the file I would try rotating the Y axis of your custom plane 180 deg I used a B/C post that I have and it is posting code with no errors
  18. The IT dudes is watching,.. first click alerts second click activates,...
  19. You need a machine def & post that are correctly configured for the B/C axis combination.
  20. is it a form drill that you are looking to use in the lathe drill tpath? You can use the custom icon on the create new lathe tool and then set the tool type to drill, you will be able to select the geom from a level in the part file or select an external Mcam part file.
  21. Sounds more like a hardware issue, what are you using for graphics support? Does your system have a standalone graphics card? Is the card a vector graphics card? When was the driver last updated? Is the graphics support a chipset? Do you have dual graphics support? (chipset & stand alone card)
  22. Scott the holder profile is fine, if the tool has a taper defined for the shank that will cause an issue though. Remachining for the HSpeed surface tpaths is now on a page called "stock" ( don't know why they changed the name, kinda like Constantinople / Istanbul ) Another possibility for the lack of tilt is not allowing enough of a maximum angle.
  23. Are you using a tool with a taper defined? The tilt strategy doesn't like tapered shanks, I define them as having a stepped shank then it will produce tilt.

    Planes

Check your machine definition file, do you have a default plane set in the general parameters?
