  1. Don't you use IJK to define the rotation?
  2. Geometry takes longer to regen I have noticed. What does it mean when it puts the repaired nci in the comment box?
  3. I use an NC program as text file. Store in mastercam file. It won't update of you repost it. But is immune from file path changes. The other option. Reads file when posting so it's always up to date. Any filename or path changes will need to reselect the text file
  4. It was a hertl brand double-ended stub. It was doing a good amount of roughing but compared to CID and imco it lasted longer. It obviously cut slower but it was a first run of a part.
  5. I got the best life out of cheap solid carbide endmills
  6. Mine is always where I left it for that particular path.
  7. That is going to leave a weird cup finish. Side mill it with old swarf
  8. With twp if you preposition x and y with the rotary there will be another shift when 68.2 it turned on
  9. I had a model where they dimensioned radii in a pocket to the center point. They have the radius at .118 with a .120 floor radius. I couldn't use a quarter inch ball endmill because it would have changed the center point of the radius. So i had to order 6mm ball endmills
  10. We use the er11 extension in an |r 25 collet. But that tool doesn't sound over 1000 rpm so it's ok
  11. We use haimer. We have the shrink and balancer for the yasda so I guess we kept it all the same. But no big Kaiser with them. And I can't understand why there is no er11 for hsk30. The er25 looks ridiculous with that small taper.
  12. G08 was like 3 lines ahead I think. I remember we used it on or throwaway machines at my old shop because they didn't have g5.1
  13. On our inspection plus the z value we put at .015 and it sets the g54 .015 below that.
  14. Renishaw has a 3 point stock allowance cycle
  15. We use a block with holes. Face the 5 sides of theblock so you know the cutter height is dead on. Then machine two holes 180 degrees apart. Then check from the top face and one x face. There are also the simultaneous ball and indicator tests
  16. It depends on the controller and servo package. We have a feeler with an 18 control that will round corners unless you use exact stop along with aicc. The feelers with the 30 control run just fine. We even had a Makino that didn't have any sort of look ahead. We had to have the fanuc guy come down and add it.
  17. Is it formatted correctly? There needs to be a g49 before it. You can also have it turn on automatically and then he can delete it all he wants.
  18. I think all mine match those. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. We are not supposed to have our phones on the ship floor soni have to write it on paper first
  19. Turn on the filter or make your tolerance Bigger
  20. Can you sweep that Draw the rectangle on front plane then make a spline with the wave on z axis
