  1. I've had a call into the methods tech department from about 8 months ago why our new Yasda won't tap a hole. Maybe I should call them back....
  2. I've used the prm to set work offsets. Depending on the control it looks different. Some there is a space between each letter <80>(WORK OFFSET MACRO) (P=OFFSET NUMBER) #1=PRM[19700] #2=PRM[19701] #3=PRM[19702] #4=PRM[19705] G90G10L2P1X[#1/25.4]Y[#2/25.4]Z[[#3+#4]/25.4] M30
  3. Incremental depth, absolute top of stock
  4. Many of the programs call up the same base macros. So you would have to go through each one and make sure it's calling the right program
  5. Yeah I think some controls are sensitive to the extension. I know on the 840Ds you need to have a .MPF or .YPF to read it from the memory card.
  6. If it's locked and ghosted It may be white or half and half
  7. JP actually helped.me save the z retract height on mine but I cant find it thru search. It's something like this Initht=z_retract Found it I think I had a reverse the order though I don't remember it was a long time ago
  8. I set a probe flag. In prapid out I told it if probe flag equals 1 and tool number = 60 and drill cycle greater than 7 use protected position cycle. It outputs like this. So ever move is protected except for the initial. I can change that as well except we haven't really needed to yet.
  9. Our matsuura 30i don't care when you turn it on.
  10. Depends on the tool and radius of the entry. 3 fluter's you can go more than 5 fluter
  11. Unlabel than in the tool comment page. You can also make tool groups labeled
  12. I do it in the control definition. I'm pretty sure it works.
  13. Get the binary file from your dealer or post writer
  14. A lot of times I'll make a new geometry group with a bigger stay away. For things like fixtures Even when avoidance geometry is available I think some toolpaths don't like it or take longer to process with it
  15. Yes it will prevent regen I do it all the time. Basically on one job
  16. They used quite a bit of porting tools on it.
  17. I see. We had a job sort of like that except the customer made an actual nesting blueprint based on the CTE of the test coupons that were taken from it.
  18. I would think a processor that can run the most threads. Is nesting a multi-threading type operation?
  19. If you read the fine print it basically needs to be in a lab to achieve that.
  20. Gap settings will make it retract
