My maintenance expires 8/31. I'm glad I paid early. It sounds like I'll be lucky to get my new codes by then.

I don't know how many seats of X Cad/Cam

Consulting has to ship and generate codes for,

but I'll bet its a bunch.

I think our dealer has the biggest userbase in the world ???

I am in michigan too and my Axsys guy also told me mid september. dont take this the wrong way the guys at axsys are great but if they are the #1 Distributer of mastercam in the U.S. like there site says we should be getting our stuff first

Gcode We got in for maint customers to ship on Friday over 900 seats. Melisa is way busy with codes and shipping.

I think she even worked over the weekend.

I don't get your point. My reseller said mid-september, and I was checking with the rest of the state of Michigan to see if they had the same answer. I won't be getting codes by Aug 15th, or anything according to my reseller.

 

I don't know where you are, so I don't have a clue how that relates to your situation.

Received "X" today, whew, huge step backward to me.

 

I've been a keyboard guy my entire computing career and there is NO way that you can program as fast as you could in V9. Even though this is new software to all, it seems to me that you spend WAY too much time hunt & click, hunt & click.

I was hoping that this wasn't going to happen, but it did. Command line entry still seems to be the fastest to me. I hope that someone in this forum throughout the next several months can shed more light on how to quicken the entry in X.

 

Boy, all I can say so far is "Glad I didn't buy into maintenance for X!"

 

Sorry guys, looks like I may be the first to say the word "Disappointed". Back in the box for now, need to get work done quickly.

Prolly won't get it installed for a couple days knowing the IT folks here...but ya never know!

I think what Pete is saying is take five minutes and look at the Mastercam X quick refernece card,

specificaly "Create your own Keyboard shortcuts".

 

Reading the transition guide will also help to explain the new functionallity in X.

I didnt like it at first neither, but now I dont like having to go back and work in 9. Give 10hrs screen time and you'll feel comfortable with it.
