Can someone tell me how to get rid of this??

I started working on a rev change on an old X2 file this morning

I brought it into X6 and started working... everything was going great

then an alarm started popping up when exiting toolpaths

"Assembly has changed"

it pops up on every op now and requires 2 or 3 clicks to clear it .... every time..

Sometime I have to click it twice just to change pages..

I'm not using holder collision checking either.. and never was..

BTW that was in May of 2011 when I sent it in.

Glad to see they overlooked it

yeah... I've always stayed away from the holder page cause sooner or later that warning is going to come up

I guess I tried it in the old X2 file and 4 years later it bites me in the a$$.

I'm not getting the warning anymore, but I had to create a small dummy holder and add it to every op to get rid of it.

I think I've gotten rid of it.

I'm using an undefined tool with no holder

defined.

I defined a tiny holder in up operation

that uses that tool and hit "update all ops ...."

so far so good

Yeap, thats what I do when I get that warning. Create a bogus tool holder just to shut the thing up.

  • 2 years later...

I figured that this bug would have been fixed by now. What is this? two years later?

I reported to QC that keep tool down in depth cuts doesn't work in pocket remachining 10-ish years ago. Still doesn't work. It works in contour remachining, so that's what I've been using.

As far as annoying dialog boxes go, that's where A Form Filler comes into play. See my sig.

Happens all the time to me in X6. I'm usually in a pickle when I see it and time constraints keeps me from figuring out a cure.

It does it to me even when there is a tool holder, I define a tool holder for every tool when I do blades because I have no other form of verification besides the one in mastercam.
