    If you don't want a clutter of STL files, save the stock model as a PMesh on to a level and then use that PMesh to recreate the stock model. That will allow you to keep all of your stock geometry inside of your part file.

    My biggest complaint with 2021 so far is not being able to de-select solid faces in legacy surface contour. Major frustration. Other than that I've been pretty happy. This has been the first release that I've been able to use the surface high speed path and duplicate the results of the legacy path. Three thumbs up

    LOL. Same here. I never brought it up because I assumed that since "drilling" is a pretty commonly used operation, someone had to have reported it. The first time I noticed the bug there was about a 15 minute session of "what in the F is going on here"?

    I did that to my boss years ago. I took a screen shot of his desktop with the icons on it and hid the task bar. He clicked for about 15 minutes thinking that his PC was locked up.. LOL. Yea, he didn't think that it was as funny as I did.

    Someone posted a video in another thread this week that shows how its used. I'll dig it up - This was meant to show something else, but briefly shows power surface as well.

    Sure it's possible. Especially if you don't mind poor/lower video performance. I've seen people run Mastercam on a $500 dell vostro with a low end Quadro. It's going to depend on what type of programming you do.

    There was no official forum back when I originally requested it. That was back in 2009ish.

    I requested that functionality years ago. Cimatron was able to do this back in the 90's. A couple of other software titles I've used have that ability as well. Not sure why MC is so limited when it comes to transform operations.

    Double check inside of that directory and make sure that they are there. If you navigate to your "Documents" using the quick access menu or the Documents shortcut in your file explorer, it doesn't take you to the (as James posted above) the Public documents. If you already know this and have made sure then ignore.

    Make sure to back them up. I've had this happen quite a few times when working with several instances of MC open. I just restore the backed up configs and am off to the races.

    Reading some of the things that you've done so far, I don't think that you would have any trouble figuring out the posts.

    I've seen this happen when using Dynamic Milling with Entry Motion/Entry Feeds and speeds checked. It used to post the tools feed if the value was zero and then at some point it started posting F0 and S0. I don't know if that's still the case or if it's the issue you're having.

    Just for chits and giggles, I was wondering if you are able to add a 2nd boundary to keep the path from wrapping around the corners at the end of the profile and still get that nice consistent step over/down - If anyone is wondering, you can.

    Have you tried what nickbe10 suggested? There is a 2d high speed blend that may get you close to what you're after. You just have to play with the geometry and settings a little. You won't get cutter comp until the finish pass but you may not need it?

    Not always. I've seen High Speed Area Rough produce some horribly inefficient tool path on some of the parts that we run. Even very simple parts. I've also had it insist on plunging in areas that it shouldn't need to. Some times surface rough pocket is just better. \rant off. example - I programmed this in a different system and reduced the cycle time by more than 5 minutes due to wasted inefficient cuts.

    I think that it was 're-added'? It was available in older versions of the software and then disappeared for a while I think.

    Can you just use <Solid Trim> by plane and use <split solid> Select a plane and poof?
