jlw,
So you know the public cannot use your link. you need to be a beta tester with a login to get to that area. So if you hoping folks would add to this they are not able to.
Are you getting Mill 3D level if so with Multiaxis you get some great tools for 3 and 4th axis that you can use now were the Curve/Drill will not do anything for you at this stage really if you do not have a 5axis machine. Also when you get the 5axis are you looking at doing simple drilling and trimming of parts?
What Version of mastercam is the classroom running.? Are the computers frozen so once set it will stay? There really is not a globle way to set this. Also is this a Nethasp?
This last update should be the last for 2019, the only reason that there would be another update is if there was a major issue that popped its head in 2019. But we do not foresee this coming. As stated by Gcode we are around the corner for Public beta 1 soon.
I agree Master80. I hope everyone gets a little time off with loved ones. Get rest so you can comeback fresh to start Mastercaming again with fresh eyes and minds.
There has been issues with Microsoft mouse's for many years. Stopped using them for that reason over 15 years ago. Doing what Aaron stated by letting go to the default drivers works the best.
I use the Pmesh method, of creating a Pmesh of the stock model say on the front B0 of a tombstone so I can transform it to another side for the next ops.
I use the enterprise kits on my worksations and the wireless kits for my laptop setups.
I really like the Cad mouse have not had any issues with any of them.
Hard to work without them.
I just spent 4 days on site taking a company from X6 to 2019. there were 5 guys 4 of the 5 liked the new system. I agree when we change the interface there is a lag of learning the new interface. but I truly find it a short lived issue.
I have been doing on site training for the last 6 days at two company's. I brought in lap tops and software for 4 to 5 folks not including me. we went from simple mill to complex me and some lathe in both places. Not once did any of us have a crash with 2019.
Now with that said do I say it never happens. No it happens once in a great while just like other applications.
I have used and watched this software grow for 30 years of my career, Boy has it grown. and there will always be folks that like the change and those that do not.
looking forward to another 30 years of camming . see you folks right here in my 80's were all you do is put on some glasses and think what you want to do and Mastercam will doing it. lol
Cimco Pro does offer this once in Backplot there is a button to convert to 3D DXF file.
If you do not have the pro version you can download it from the Cimco site and it will run for 30 days.
Mark VIII , you are acting like cnc software gave you this post. I am not sure who your dealer is but this does not mean that this is there post they made and did not go to another source like CNC.Now did the dealer get dialed in for you in a timely matter? You can reach out to other sources for your posts to so you are not fully stuck there.
At times it will let you select an edge and like you say give you the arrow but would not let you push or pull based on the geo. As this found it cannot modify that area. in the earlier versions like X9 there was not warning just no go.
