  1. Which model do you guys recommend?
  2. I would have the gun driller take it as big as he can, then use a smaller boring bar to bore it half and half until you can fit the larger bar.
  3. 2) Mari-Tool 3) why not a 3 jaw? 5) Sandvik is my goto for tooling, they also make great drills. I was strictly a Guhring drill guy, but have switched recently to Sandvik drills and they are just as good. They also make their own carbide so the price is usually cheaper. But their solid carbide end mills are still way too expensive.
  4. If you want to loop a sub, put a Q and the # of times you want it to loop. CALL OTURN Q15 I can't remember if there is supposed to be a space before the Q or not though.
  5. The best advice I can give you is to make a couple of new TABS on your ribbon bar and put the stuff on there arranged somewhat how your X9 icons looked. Otherwise you'll be going form tab to tab to tab to tab just to do simple stuff. Oh and another thing I did was to add these functions at the beginning OF EVERY TAB: New,Save,Open,Print,Fit,Undo and Redo. Because the ones at the very top of the screen are too tiny for me. And I'd wager they're even smaller if you're using a 4K monitor.
  6. I use project often without any issues in 2019. What problems are you having?
  7. Drawing a thread in Mastercam is only for cosmetic reasons, there is no functional reason to draw a thread.
  8. Not that I'm aware of, but maybe you can use a macro of some kind that utilizes ALT+F4 after a period of time?
  9. If it's just a simple 3 axis mill post or simple 2 axis lathe post, you might be better off just getting a new 2018 post.
  10. What alarm are you getting? Is your machine actually set up for 4 and 5 axis? That's typically a $5k option from your Okuma distributor.
  11. My bad, I saw that avatar in your siggy and thought it was a broken link Maybe this video will help? 2nd one down on the page: http://forum.mastercam.com/Topic24884.aspx?Keywords=deburr
  12. Ok, I misunderstood, the ICON on the taskbar, right clicking that shows most recent. I forgot all about that since I never used it. Mine works in 2019, I don't have 2018 installed though. I'm not sure what would cause that to stop showing the files.
  13. Your video or link is bad, I don't see anything.
  14. Not sure about the right clicking for most recent files, but I've always used the OPEN dropdown and that gives me my most recent Mastercam files.
  15. Assuming you have X+ installed... Right click on the ribbon/customize the ribbon
  16. What if you tell Mastercam that the end mill has a corner radius instead of a chamfer? Does it clean up then? Or can you tweak the Toolpath Radius (not the stepover) a little bit?
  17. Yep, pretty much have to buy a tool where the nose dia is consistent so that you can draw your tool correctly. Harvey Tool, Lakeshore Carbide, there are a few places that sell them. I prefer Lakeshore Carbide personally.
  18. Are you using Arc Center in your autocursor to select the hole you want to thread mill?
  19. Can you just enter in a value that you want it moved?
  20. It doesn't work this way. If you have 100 different people program it you'd get 100 different cycle times.
  21. Weird, when I create the tool geometry on a separate level and import the tool during creation, the flowline path regens just fine. BUT... But it thinks it's a .125 dia tool, AND it's offset from the drive surface by a good amount.(see pic) The picture is a right side view of a 45 deg flat surface
  22. These values give you an error when you hit "Finish"?
