  1. So not a Guru , I've sent a message to a couple of my fellow co-workers they will look into this for you shortly.
  2. Terryh is it possible for you to post the file you are talking about. One of the guys here might be able to take a quick look and assist you with your settings to make the toolpath do what you are looking for.
  3. What editor are you using? If you are not using Cimco you could try using that editor. I find it responds quicker than Code Expert.
  4. There will be a mpmaster and mplmaster for X9. We've wanted to make a couple of modifications to these files before putting them up online. Currently the post team here is swamped which is why we haven't had time to make those changes and put the X9 files up. Leigh @ Race Face I am currently getting correct WCS output at the first move after each toolchange. Say I have 4 operations on one tool, what I need to happen is for the WCS to output on the B axis moves that are in each of the 4 operations. Do you want the same work offset output for each B rotation or are you looking for it to output a new work offset each time the table rotates? One thing to check is to make sure Misc. Integer #9 isn't set to 1 in the first operation and then the next thing would be to ensure you've changed the work off number on the planes page incrementing it up for each B - Axis rotation.
  5. I believe for issues in a released version you want to submit those to [email protected] [email protected] is for beta issues. And yes they will require the steps taken to reproduce the issues otherwise you will get an email asking for this. I find its best if its possible to send them a video showing them the exact steps taken to produce the issues.
  6. Hey Dale, If you message your Mastercam Reseller and tell them to contact us we can provide you with a post that will work on your Prototrak SMX Mill.
  7. hey rj1, Since this is a highly custom cycle and can be tailored to suit your requirements we require sample code of how you want us to setup your stock transfer. If you send us a sample of what you want we can do this for you.
  8. Typing in all caps comes across as yelling on a Forum or in an email. There are lots of sample files on the forum in the downloads section. There are also sample files you can install with the software which would allow you to practice toolpaths and possibly re-creating the files. Good Luck
  9. Justin there is a switch in the post called swt_dtrack near the top of the post if you don want it to post out the G254 just set this switch to zero. We are in the process or developing a user interface that will allow you to change switches in the post for specific files without opening the post. Its almost complete we just need to further test it before we begin to distribute it.
  10. If its an Iscar tool you could import the dxf or dwg into X7. If its not an Iscar tool you just need to draw half the tool in the top cplane, with the bottom center at the 0,0 location. Save the tool as a custom tool MCX drawing and then import it into the file you want to use the tool in.
  11. Lilyput, Its against form policy to ask for a post. Please contact your Mastercam reseller for inquiries about post-processors.
  12. Buckeye Bob, If its a new computer with windows 7 or windows 8 Mastercam V9 wont work on those new operating systems. Might be time for you to update.
  13. Hey newbeeee Yeah someone pointed that out to me and I changed my post. Sorry about the confusion.
  14. Hey haroldm What model of Haas Lathe did you purchase? We have a good library of Haas Lathe posts.
  15. Nor Draw are you a programmer or designer now? Sure you could train to do both jobs but both have a special skill set. Being a programmer isn't just about throwing toolpaths on a part and posting the code. Just like designing a part isn't just about drawing some arcs and lines. Both require a decent amount of training to get be good at them. As for Mastercam for SolidWorks I personally find it to be slower then the stand alone version of Mastercam. Of course you can always import your SoldWorks parts into Mastercam and work on them in Mastercam to create toolpaths and cut your parts. With that being said I don't have the greatest computer in the world (not that I am complaining) I am sure with a better computer (one with more RAM and perhaps a better video card) would run Mastercam for SolidWorks smoother.
  16. Rick there is a button in the operations manager that will show the associated geometry with the selected toolpath. I think that maybe what you are looking for.
  17. Hey Iceman, Do you have a MCX file you can put up here I am sure people would be happy to take a look at it to try to help you solve your B - Axis issue.
  18. Hey student_Erik I will have one of my co-workers contact you with an answer to your question.
  19. Your machine, control defs and posts should be located in the shared directory C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared Mcamx7 Backup this folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared Mcamx6\CNC_MACHINES which will hold your machine and control def then backup this folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared Mcamx6\wire it will contain your post, power library and operations.
  20. Did you migrate your settings/files over from X6? Did you copy your config over from X6? I am guessing it wasn't doing this before since it suddenly changed. What changed on your computer? If you close X7 open the following folder C:\Users\<your_name>\Documents\my mcamx7\CONFIG and select the two following two files mcamx.config & mcamxm.config delete them and restart the software it should reset your config and now everything should be reading from X7.
  21. If you Google "download free cad models" you will find a bunch of sites you can find cad models on and download to use. It depends on what you're looking for just do a quick search and I am sure you will be able to find what you need.
  22. Have you looked at the X+ setup sheet options? You could probably accomplish this using the active report setup sheet as well it would just depend on how much time you want to put into setting up the setup sheet. I believe X+ could give you what you want. See the link below for the setup sheet. http://gmccs.de/?page=downloads.php&dl_grp=8&pt=X%2B+Tool+Downloads
  23. What about trying to put the IP address of your server or the computer where the nethasp is located in the nethasp.ini file. You should see the line shown below in this file. ;;NH_SERVER_ADDR = <Addr1>, <Addr2> remove the two semi-colons and then input your address next to the following NH_SERVER_ADDR =
  24. J man you need to update your tool libraries from X6 to X7 in-order for your old (X6) libraries to work in X7. Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say you have not been able to build a tool in X7? Are you drawing custom lathe tools? Or are you attempting to select new inserts and a holder?
  25. The new backplot and verify uses the NCI data from Mastercam. The nice thing about the new backplot and verify is you wont see different results between backplot and Verify as in previous version. This is because it now uses the same NCI data. To "verify" your G-Code you would have to post it and then import it into verification software as you do in Vericut.
