  2. Can confirm. not always but this does pop up occasionally. Should be an empty place to select nothing for simulation. one of my guys spent hours trying to figure it out before he asked the question. 5 axis pgm he was set at 3axis in simulation. We use vericut. (facepalm)
  3. I prefer to leave it blank and pick the machine from the drop down menu AFTER saving the blank file. Populates the machine group, toolpath group and NC with the mastercam file name. (which is our program number)
  4. https://www.emastercam.com/forums/topic/104842-simulator-2022-bugs/#comment-1332823 I always have to reselect stock in "simulator options" button every time I open a new instance of an old program. It's routine now.
  5. If no 5axis available, Just surface it. looks kike a fairly small part, shouldn't take long.
  6. We would cut down the center taking full advantage of the upper corner rad tolerance, cutting it as wide as possible, We also make our own dovetail cutters and making the dovetail cutter O/D -.002 smaller than the slot and maxing out the lower rad makes a beefy tool, we historically only use one finish pass each side. (operators digression to re-run the tool if needed). MATERIAL REMOVED BY RADII.xlsx
  7. That sounds super risky. Scared to even think of doing that.
  8. We own a seat of wire, only use it for 4 axis things. we have 5 wire machines and use mill 2d contour 99.9% of the time. (setting comp to control).
  9. not automatically, could revolve a solid on a helix. but IMHO importing a screw from McMaster align to your minor and boolean remove it is waaay faster.
  10. true, They will be happy to explode one of their endmills for you. (the old blow it up then back it off 10% trick)
  11. We have 24 HMCs. All are programmed at Top B0.
  12. refractometer. Not here, But at my shop I used to use Castrol Hysol synthetic cutting fluid, was clear (could see thru the windows) and did not go away and would cover the walls. after the tank was low you could just hose off the walls inside with water and bring the level back up checking with a refractometer (recommended reading of 9). adding more fluid if needed. having it coat the inside of the machines there was no corrosion. just hose it down in the am not before you leave for the day. (your coolant supplier can recommend the concentration %) think refractometers are still under $100.
  13. Looking for some feedback. MasterCam apparently doesn't support the control. There is one on a boat on it's way here.
  14. All the time. Reselecting the stock model on old files before running verify is routine for me.
  15. Sometimes changing display from Outlined shaded to just shaded may help.
  16. It needed VERISURF_2021_UPDATE2_TOOLS-MC installed, all better now.
  17. replaced a HDD added our cloned drive. VERISURF TOOLS comes up. but can't enable our REVERSE. works fine on everyone else's. although it shows on the tab as VERISURF TOOLS not VS TOOLS. licece is good. and says were good but tab won't show. any suggestions?
