  1. was that on a fadal machine? by the looks of the spindle it is.
  2. when you use edit, simplify try increasing your tolerance until the spline turns into an arc. i've had to go up to .002 hth
  3. That's it!! i'll have to analyze the machine build, i also started mirroring the stl files but the rotary table still ended up on the left but i got the spindle pointing to the left. i was partially there at least. thank you Derek
  4. worst case, uninstall both version and reload version 6
  5. make sure in your system config file...start/exit the cimco you chose points to the right directory. i don't use the cimco that came with MC so i chose other and browsed to the correct directory. hth
  6. try uninstalling cimco edit5, maybe there is a conflict with ver 6?
  7. Ron, i'm looking for a fadal 4020 with the A axis along X axis on the right with spindle pointing to the left. thanks
  8. what if you install it in the program files directory like MC? i have it on my system but it's XP 32 bit with no problems.
  9. +1, Maybe try loading an existing file that was migrated and post it and compare to the original gcode. also when you install X5 keep X4 MU3 on your system in case you feel frustrated with X5. hth
  10. on a 4 axis vertical machining center, how do you place the A axis on the right side of the table (X+ end) with the nose pointing to the X- end?
  11. for the arc filter try this go into start/all programs/Mastercam x5/mcamx control panel applet, then to toolpath support, new arc filter turn on to enabled. hth
  12. I'm guessing cnc combined multiaxes with advanced multiaxis? i did a quick search and didn't find anything. just finishing my install and updating my operation defaults and noticed this. thanks in advance

  17. what Rick said, and when you simplify you may have to up your tolerance so it will convert to an arc
