  1. I am working with a university and am setting up a new VMC, a SMTCL 850E. It has a tool magazine so the post must have the M6 on a seperate line and then call up the next tool # Anyone have someting like that? I am curently useing a generic Fanuc Post. Still running X5 Thanks for any help. Bill
  2. I have searched the forums on how to enable HPCC in the post, but I have only found this thread: http://www.emastercam.com/board/topic/71735-aicc-g05q1-how-to-enable/?hl=hpcc#entry834720 It is helpful, but only shows where to enable HPCC in the misc values tab from within the parameters of a given toolpath. However, I see that there is a check box on the misc values tab that says 'Automatically set to post values when posting'. Is it possible to configure the post so that HPCC will be automatically turned for all toolpaths that support it, instead of having to individually enable each toolpath? Also, I did post out a toolpath with HPCC enabled in the misc values tab, but G05 P10000 was added after G43 -- Aren't all tool length offsets supposed to be canceled before HPCC is enabled, which would mean that g05 P10000 should go before G43? thanks Bret

  8. Hi, I am having issues with the use of a misc. integer in my post. what I need to do is add a N1590 #[600+#4120]=XXX (xxx = misc.integer 3 amount set in tool path) N1600 M98P7000 at the end of the tool before the next tool. I think I have almost got it but when i post is is out putting the integer amount set for the next tool not the current one. and it post no amount on the late tool ext: N1590 #[600+#4120]= (Should be misc. integer amount set in tool path) N1600 M98P7000 This is what I have done sav_mi3 : 0 fmt "" 4 mi3$ In the pretract #End of tool path, toolchange i added sav_mi3 = mi3$ if mi3$ >=1, ## Daniel [ pbld, n$, "#[600+#4120]=",mi3$, e$ ## Daniel pbld, n$, "M98P7000", e$ ## Daniel ] Please help Thank you,
  9. I'm having trouble editing my post to give me a work offset call with a G90 A0. at the end of my program. M5 G28 Y0. G0 G90 A0. M30 % And this is what I want: G0 Z1.1 M9 G91 G28 Z0. M5 G28 Y0. G0 G90 G54(or whatever work offset program is using) A0. M30 % Thank you
  10. On my Mori post I don't get any lock or unlock codes (M10 and M11) as well as no B. move, (which would be B0.). I get these codes when I have rotations programmed but I still want/need the code when doing just doing work on B0. How can I get these codes to come up without B axis rotation?
  11. Hi All, I am an instructor/Tech support and I am getting more and more calls about editing posts. I've been reading over the MP post processor reference guide which is helpful, however, as some one who is unfamiliar with post language, I still have a ton of questions. For example, in the book it doesn't specify what a dollar sign "$" does to a line of code and when you're supposed to use them, or a pound sign "#". I am just looking for a guide that will truly start me from scratch because I am sure a lot of this is just common knowledge when it comes to coding. Thanks!
  12. Can anyone help me with post issues for xxxxor 8055 control? I'm getting bad coordinate error on machine. The problem is with arc outputs. The gcode is G2 x,y,z, I,j. The post doesn't always put a k out. I have noticed that the z coordinate is the same as the line before.
  13. Wasn't there a manual? I've crawled through the debugger user's guide and the help files. But I remember a document that explained syntax and such. Any help appreciated! Kathy
  14. want to change post so that cycle def is before 1st move
  15. I need a bit of a help editing a X5 post mpfan.pst for 2-axis plasma machine: the goal is having M73, M75, G4 (plasma on with delay) before feed movement and M74, M76, G4 (plasma off with delay) before every rapid movement and before M02. I managed to edit the post to almost desired result, except that I get M73, M75, G4 before many feed movement lines even that this funcions are still active from previous lines. I need to enter this functions to NC only the first time the feed movement (linear or circular) was engaged, then again if a rapid movement (G0) was used. 21. Hi, I'm currently in a 3rd year engineering program at my high school. In that class, we have numerous licensed educational seats of Mastercam X6, along with lots of other pieces of dangerous-looking equipment, available to us. I also have a copy of Mastercam X6 HLE on my laptop which I need to use in order to finish a large project with a very short deadline we were recently given. So, here's my problem: After I'm done with the software part of the project, I have to create the part on a CNC. Now, as you probably know, X6 HLE was neutered specifically to prevent people from being able to do that. So, is it possible to open Mastercam X6 HLE files on a licensed copy of Mastercam X6 and then post the NC file so I can machine the part?
  22. I have been trying to use the tooltable output to let our setup guys and operators know what type of comp is used. We use either "control" or "wear" depending on the machine (I know, I'm trying to get everyone to use wear, but it's going to take some time) - The problem I've noticed is that the post will only catch the comp value from the first operation of each tool. This becomes a problem when the first op might not use any comp. For example; using a drill cycle with an endmill to peck the center of a feature & then follow with a contour toolpath. It would also be useful to scan all the toolpaths and give an error if the same tool is using different comp types in multiple ops. Can anyone tell me how to go about this? My post modifying skills are pretty decent; I've added a few misc. ops and tweaked thing here & there. Thank-you. -John

  24. Hello all. I've been working on a post for the shop on their haas vf6 with Trunnion 5 axis. Everything seems to be posting fine but I would like a tool list to appear in the same manner as the Generic Haas 4x Mill post. I tried to take some of the lines that refer to ptooltable to the new 5x post but so far I only get the very first tool and only the first tool to post in the list. here's an example: % O1002 ( OP2-24127-19 REV M ) ( 30-10-12 | 14:00 ) ( ==TOOL List== ) ( T1 1/4 CTR DRILL | D: .25 ) <= Should populate rest of the tools but stops at the 1st one N1 G20 N2 G0 G17 G40 G49 G80 G90 N3 G0 G28 G91 Z0. N4 ( T1 | 1/4 CTR DRILL ) <= Tool comment link to post dl: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yxurnmgvxpkq2o9/Generic%20Haas%20VF-TR_Series%205X%20Mill.pst thanks in advance!
  25. Hi -- I need to configure a post processor for a Toyoda FA550ii with a GE Fanuc Series 16i-M. This is my first time programming for a 4 axis HMC, and my reseller has suggested using the generic HMC post. Does anybody have any experience with this machine, or better, have experience configuring a post for this machine? Any help would be appreciated. -Bret Vanderhyden Goleta, California
